| Since being off work now 1 week, I feel like I've had more time to catch up on everything - friends I haven't talked to in a while, errands, working out, & "getting in the door." I've worked 1 day on my new job at UC Irvine, waiting to get onto a long-term assignment/project to start with. While it was just the most basic work, it was SO much better than dealing with my old customers/managers & I felt re-energized in starting something new. We'll have to wait & see where I end up there, but it's the first step!
I went to a Cinco de Mayo/bday party of my first Cali roomie...I bought a new tent thinking we'd be camping on the beach, but it was a mile away & freezing weather, so we left early! Oh well. Now, we're prepared for our next attempt on our own & can figure out where to go...a camping/boogie boarding trip! The best part was when there was a hive of "africanized (i.e. aggressive) killer bees" 15-feet from where we were camping...but don't worry, "Bee Busters" came out to kill the hive dressed in full bee-killing suit. Interesting.
| i guess I haven't used this in a while, but I have time now...
I've finally quit my job!!! I am now dedicated to emptying my mind completely of all that useless job-related information, forgetting every customer I ever had to deal with, and focus completely on pursuing my new dream job (or at least get in the door).
Further, I can update my xanga, though I'm not sure I'll really be using it anymore.
I love May...besides my birthday, it is everyone else's birthday & I get to celebrate theirs too! Other reasons: 1. best weather 2. best movies 3. cinco de mayo margaritas 4. back to the beach (possibly in the water now) 5. pre-blockout disneyland 6. season finales 7. a lot more I don't remember...

| 3 day weekend...wasting away watching

Thanks a lot Aki via Cecille...now I'm addicted and the weekend's half over. All I can say is at least it moves a little faster than the 2nd season has, thus why I've stepped out of the house for only a few hours at time.
I haven't updated in a while...no use going back now...so I'll just start over. I watched the championship series w/the Angels faithfully (not necessarily for me but my boyfriend...no other way we'd hang out), but at the last we just didn't deserve it (or they should have brought out the RALLY MONKEY earlier). So, I guess I'll cheer for the Astros now, for Texas pride...I can't wait til I get my life & normal schedule back post-baseball season!

Speaking of Texas, played Texas hold 'em last night...I still get a few bits of beginner's luck, but all in all, I held in w/the boys longer than the other girls...FACE (not necessarily that I knew what I was doing...
Alright...I guess I'll get back to LOST episodes, maybe take a break to the beach, get some fresh air, pretend I'm a castaway on the show & attack Ernesto as if I'm one of the "others"...

The Keys to Your Heart |
| You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free. |
| In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored. |
| You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change. |
| You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please. |
| Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with. |
| Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. |
| You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred. |
| In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted. |
Funny that they came up with all of this based on random questions about animals...I guess the "animals" were "humans"...
If you're going to come back to your site after a long hiatus, why not copy a meaningless quiz? Quick & painless...
| So much to talk about...but waiting until I get good pix to post!
Last week, what a blur...We skipped town a little early to begin our "spring break", going to VEGAS baby! Our 24 crazy hours consisted of:
--buffet at Bellagio
--touring the strip like tourists, including fountains, casinos, worthless slots
--hitting the nightlife @ the Rumjungle
--& my favorite, playing the tables with someone else's money & winning $425 dollars
--shopping, again, ...be back in a little
